The Special Libraries Association Business & Finance Division and Asian Chapter will continue to accept applications through 2 April 2012 for one lucky recipient to attend the 2012 SLA Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois, USA, 15-18 July 2012.

Join the CIC Section for breakfast and knowledge during the 2012 Annual Conference! The topic of the event will be “Building a Knowledge Environment Utilizing Agile Methodology” and presented by Daniel Flynn, KM Manager at Nalco. The event will take place on 17 July (Tuesday) from 8 am to 9:30AM and costs $20.

Gerard J. Pannekoek, President and CEO of the Intellectual Property Exchange International(r) (IPXI), will be the featured speaker for the SLA Business & Finance Financial Services Section breakfast during the upcoming annual conference in Chicago. The IPXI, the world’s first financial exchange focusing on intellectual property rights, plans to begin issuing the first unit license rights contracts in 2012. The Chicago-based exchange will allow intellectual property to be licensed more efficiency and with more transparency.
