2013 Annual Conference: Feedback & Presentation Slides

The 2013 Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO was held at San Diego, California, on June 9-11. Please take two minutes to share your takeaways with regards to B&F programs. Your responses are anonymous and will be used to provide guidance to the board for Vancouver.

We're currently working with our wonderful speakers to provide the slides and materials from the B&F programs and poster session. We will be adding them to the website as we receive them, so keep checking back often!.

2014 Annual Conference: June 8-10, Vancouver, B.C., Canada

Conference Re-envisioning Task Force
The Annual Conference is the primary member activity and the primary source of income for the Association. Over the years it has undergone changes both subtle and substantial with committees in 2001 and 2006, as well as recent activity within the Conference Planning Advisory Committees. The Conference is being influenced by social media, changes in membership and members expectations, as well as professional and economic pressures.

The Conference Re-envisioning Task Force, led by SLA Director Hal Kirkwood, is currently seeking feedback on the future iterations of the association gatherings. Specifically, they are looking at six main areas: member engagement, logistics, content, vendors, international, online. If you would like to provide feedback, an email address is now available for input on the Annual Conference. Now's your chance to make your mark:

Email the Task Force: slacrtf@gmail.com

We Want YOUR Conference Ideas for 2014
Speaking of future conferences, we're already working on excellent programming for the 2014 Annual Conference, which has the theme of Beyond Borders. Want to make sure that your voice is heard the types of sessions the Division offers? Let us know! Laura Leavitt, Chair-Elect, would love your ideas, big or small, for presentations when SLA takes over Vancouver. It's your chance to shape the next conference and get the most out of your attendance.
